Agricultural Law

Agriculture Law deals not only with plants and animals but also with land use, environmental rules, and the use of food products. With the increasing sophistication of farming processes, issues of intellectual property, trade, finance, credit, and general commercial transactions often arise. Richmond Nychuk and his team are available to assist you with type of agricultural transactions, large or small to ensure all regulations and laws are adhered to.

David Flett is a designated Qualified Arbitrator through the ADR Institute of Canada Inc., Canada’s preeminent alternative dispute resolution (ADR) professional organization. Arbitration is a method to resolve disputes outside of the courts. The arbitrator acts in an impartial manner to consider the issues and make a final and binding decision. Arbitration can be less costly and time consuming than the traditional court process. It also allows for much greater privacy, as litigation through the courts can require filing detailed financial and personal information and court rulings with such information are often published and available to the public. If you believe arbitration may be helpful in settling your dispute or if you have any questions on the process, please contact our office.

Civil Litigation
Court Agreement

Civil litigation is a legal dispute between two or more parties that seek money damages or specific performance rather than criminal sanctions. A lawyer who specializes in civil litigation is known as a “litigator” or “trial lawyer.” Lawyers who practice civil litigation represent parties in trials, hearings, arbitrations and mediations before administrative agencies, foreign tribunals and federal, state and local courts. We have several attorneys at our firm who are experienced and knowledgeable in civil litigation cases.
